Jeffrey A. French, Esq.

Jeffrey A. French is a Partner with Green Bryant & French, LLP. His practice emphasizes the representation of community associations and timeshare developments in all aspects of the law. Additionally, he is experienced in representing individuals and corporations in various litigation and transactional matters. Further, Mr. French is experienced in representing clients in a wide variety of real estate matters and land use/development issues. Mr. French has worked with both developers and condominium converters regarding development issues as well as helping them to set up and run Community Associations for their developments.

Mr. French earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of California, San Diego in 1989. In 1993, Mr. French earned his Juris Doctor degree and graduated Cum Laude from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. While attending Gonzaga, he was an Associate Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review. Mr. French earned a Masters of Law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 1994 in maritime law. While at the University of Washington, he was the Student Note Editor for the University of Washington Coastal Management Journal and worked as a Legal Intern for the Attorney General of Washington handling issues concerning the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.

Mr. French is admitted to practice before all courts in the States of California and Washington as well as the Federal District Court for the Southern District of California. Mr. French has written numerous articles on issues relating to Community Associations and real estate. Mr. French is a regular contributor to Community Association Institute publications for San Diego and Riverside Counties on topics relating to Community Associations and real estate.

In 2002, Mr. French completed a 32 hour mediation training course for mediators administered by the Training Institute for the National Conflict Resolution Center in San Diego. The program involved 32 intensive hours of conflict theory and technique as well as numerous exercises in mediation. The course met the standards of the California Dispute Resolution Programs Act for mediator training. In addition to this formal training, Mr. French has participated in well over 100 mediations involving cases ranging from complex multiparty litigation to simple two-party disputes.
